This mute swan was just washing and drying itself, but it looks like it was giving flying lessons to its six full grown cygnets!

Linhope Spout waterfall after heavy rain and during a storm, the tail end of hurricane Katia. Taken with a waterproof camera it clearly shows the drama of the torrent rushing over the edge of the falls.

Buddleia bushes flowering in Autumn are a big attraction for butterflies, in this case I saw lots of Red Admiral and Peacock varieties.

Still having regular visits from the woodpeckers. But even better yesterday a Roe Deer walked across the road in front of the car and it's two fawns were in the wood nearby, very nice. Always good to be cautious when there are deer around!
