Rocky Mountain National Park, after a brief freeze the day was warm and the ice from yesterday was starting to melt once again. Soon though it wil be winter and the river will freeze solid.

Sunlight streams through this forest near Zurich. I love the light.

Blue Jay's were crowding around my feeder today so took a few shots. I really need to get closer and wait for them to arrive.

Just cattails but filmed against the rising sun.

I enjoyed playing around with this image to get a more arty effect.

I was walking along the river, filmed a nuthatch and a large cricket and some interesting reflections when the fisherman came into view. He didn't catch anything but there are large trout in the river here.

I assumed this grebe was diving and eating fish, only when I saw the image close up did I realize that the food was something with legs and toes! Probably salamanders, wow. The realization shocked me I have to confess.

Found this rattelsnake today to my delight, I have wanted to film one for a while and this one was a good subject. Also found burrowing owls in among the prairie dogs when I thought they would have migrated south by now.

I decided to make a collage of three whitetail stag shots.

Went out early this morning with friends to shoot birds, and saw this stag approaching so I headed to quietly intersect his run and we ran into each other face to face. Incredible.
