Bill Meikle's photography has been published in the US press and TV, on the BBC's website as well as in UK publications. He has won numerous photographic competitions in the US and UK. In 2008 he was a Highly Honored Winner in the prestigious Nature's Best Magazine, Zoos and Aquariums category with his image of an Asiatic Moon Bear. 

A member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) where he won an award for Best Motivational Newsletter in 2008 and the Centre for Fine Art Photography (C4FAP) where he won with "Like an Angel" and was published in Camera Arts magazine. He is also a member of the Loveland Photographic Society and a regular contributor to their competitions and workshops.

He has been inspired by the work of Ansel Adams, and contemporary photographers such as mountaineer Galen Rowell and UK wildlife photographer Andy Rouse.

Having been born and raised in his native Scotland Bill follows the tradition of generations of Scots before him and loves to travel. He has worked in many international locations including Europe, U.S.A., Africa and Asia. Living in Colorado creates opportunities for him to photograph the amazing South West.
