Bill Meikle's photography has been published in the US press and TV, on the BBC's website as well as in UK publications. In 2011 his photograph of a pika was published in the book The Exultant Ark by Jonathan Balcombe and shown on The New Scientist website . He has won numerous photographic competitions in the US and UK. In 2008 he was a Highly Honoured Winner in the prestigious Nature's Best Magazine with his image of an Asiatic Moon Bear.
He has been inspired by the work of Ansel Adams and contemporary photographers such as Galen Rowell, wildlife photographer Andy Rouse and photographic artist Sandra Bartocha.
Having been born and raised in Scotland Bill follows the tradition of generations of Scots before him and loves to travel. He has worked in many international locations including Europe, U.S.A., Africa and Asia and lived in Colorado for 13 years. Now he lives once more in his native Scotland.
