Bill Meikle's photography has been published in the US press and TV, on the BBC's website as well as in UK publications. He has won numerous photographic competitions in the US and UK. In 2008 he was a Highly Honored Winner in the prestigious Nature's Best Magazine, Zoos and Aquariums category with his image of an Asiatic Moon Bear.
He has been inspired by the work of Ansel Adams, and contemporary photographers such as mountaineer Galen Rowell and UK wildlife photographer Andy Rouse.
Having been born and raised in Scotland Bill follows the tradition of generations of Scots before him and loves to travel. He has worked in many international locations including Europe, U.S.A., Africa and Asia and lived in Colorado for 13 years. Now he lives once more in his native Scotland.
